Elliot Jacobson is a Texas native hailing from Houston. He got into drumming one fateful day in middle school when he forgot the required dental records necessary to play a brass or woodwind instrument. After moving with his family to Buffalo, NY, Elliot cut his teeth playing in bands, practicing in the basement and performing at local venues. While attending college on Staten Island, he was introduced to Ingrid Michaelson. The day before Ingrid recorded her album Slow the Rain, her previous drummer dropped out of the project and Elliot was asked to replace him.
In addition to Ingrid, Elliot is often called upon to work with a long list of talented artists. He is the go to drummer for Elle King, Jenny Owen Youngs, Dan Romer, Emily Kinney, Bess Rogers, Allie Moss, Lelia Broussard, Greg Holden, Katie Costello, Jay Stolar, Jim Bianco, Suzanna Choffel, Rosi Golan, Wakey! Wakey!, Allison Weiss, Guggenheim Grotto, Jerry Fuentes and Anya Marina. He has had the honor of working with Regina Spektor, Taylor Swift, Diane Birch, Greg Laswell, Elizabeth and the Catapult, The Woes, Kelsey Byrne, April Smith, The Paper Raincoat, Mieka Pauley, Alex Wong, Cara Salimando, Abigail Breslin, Martin Rivas, Nick Howard, Rachel Platten, Steve Wiatt, Jesse Andrews, He is We, Lauren Zettler, Ricky Valente, Hayley Taylor, Safetysuit, Tom Cintulla, The Energy, Taylor Berrett, Mark Radcliffe, Chantilly, Makenzie Caine and many, many more.
